Appleby Online Centre

Appleby Online Centre is a community learning centre. 

As a not-for-profit community interest company we are set up to benefit those living within Appleby Magna and its surrounding villages. 

We are a UK Online Centre and a Stephenson College accredited out-reach centre.

We offer low-cost IT courses covering complete beginners, word processing, spreadsheets, powerpoint desk top publishing, web page design ECDL & Advanced ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).

We offer a variety of taught half-day workshops including Ebay Shopper, Internet Security & Antivirus, Using Digital Photos, Problem Solving your PC, Establishing a Web Presence, Designing Cards & Posters. 

We run bespoke flexible learning sessions everyday (see below for our opening times) with a tutor supervising each session.

We are home to language courses, family history sessions and community groups, including a monthly book club, fortnightly scrapbooking group, monthly film club, weekly art group.

Opening times:

We offer internet access for those who just want to come along and 'surf the net' and hire our facilities to both the community and for business meetings. 

We are based in The Coach House, within the beautiful grounds of the Sir John Moore Foundation, Appleby Magna with a free, safe & well lit car park.

Opening times:

• Monday & Wednesdays 1pm - 4.30pm,
• Tuesday & Thursdays 6pm - 9pm,
• Fridays 9am - 12.30pm.
